Accept all kinds of money
Piano accepts a variety of payment options: Amazon, PayPal, Bitcoin, Dwolla, as well as the four major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover). Users will go through a quick and easy payment process when paying for content on your site.
We handle the relationships with those vendors — you won’t need to set up a merchant account with any of them — and we absorb their fees on your behalf.
Funds from your transactions are credited to your account and your funds minus our fees will be available 30 days after the transaction date. Contrary to what you might think, we’re not getting benefit from the “float” or interest on those funds; we are simply holding it briefly to protect ourselves against fraudulent transactions or end user refund requests. If your customers request refunds from us or their payment provider, the fees associated with those requests are deducted from your available balance.
Note: Payments made through Bitcoin will settle in USD. Payouts will not be made in BTC. BTC/USD market rates are as provided by Coinbase. At this time, Bitcoin can only be used for fixed-time access, not for recurring subscriptions.
